Dear participants,

Forty years ago the first ever Polish film festival took place in Poznan, and it is impressive to see that many years later the Ale Kino! Film Festival is still evolving and has become an important festival in Europe. Children’s film festivals play an important role in introducing children to a diversity of film-making, letting them travel to faraway places in the world and discover the magic of cinema. Through different media literacy programs they can also learn so many different topics through films, and also gain a bigger understanding of the media themselves. The Ale Kino! Film Festival is also an important meeting place for the national and international film industry, as a platform to exchange ideas, launch new projects and meet new people. I wish all the children and professionals a wonderful and exciting festival during the 27th Ale Kino! Film Festival!
