For several years now, the National Audiovisual Institute has been working to promote Polish animation. Our publishing unit has pieced together a series of four DVDs that contain the anthology of Polish animation from the earliest to the latest productions. We have published a book entitled “Polish Animated Film”, the first such a comprehensive overview of the history of Polish animation. We also provide financial support to the most interesting events which present the achievements of Polish animators within the competition known as “Action Animation”. One of such interesting projects is Action Animation! Poznań 40 Station, presenting the achievements of Polish animation for children at this year’s 27th International Young Audience Film Festival Ale Kino! It is going to revisit the most important animations and animators in the course of the 40-year history of the Poznań Festival. It is a wonderful opportunity for cinemagoers, artists, teachers, festival directors, producers and distributors from around the world to come in contact with Polish animation.
