Petra Kappler
As a student of film, theatre and media, as well as German studies, Petra Kappler began working in a cinema as a director. Afterwards she worked for the public broadcasting service of the state of Hessen. She completed a traineeship with the Deutsches Filminstitut / Deutsches Filmmuseum and then continued to work there in various positions. Since the beginning of 2008 she has been the festival director of the LUCAS International Children’s Film Festival, which is the longest running film festival for children in Germany.
